Toilets Are So Much Fun

So my toilet has been not flushing right all day. My husband went up and was trying to plunge it and it didn't seem to be doing to much good. It was then that my 3 year old came in the bathroom and said "Me can't get my car out Daddy" LOL I guess that answers the question about what is in the toilet. Now we are gonna have to take the toilet off and get it out. Sounds like such a fun time. I don't know what makes kids put things in the toilet. I have had many things get flushed. One was so bad that we just had to buy a new toilet. Someone thought it would be good to flush a plastic cup and it got completely jammed in the inside of the toilet. No matter what we tried we could not get it out. Oh the joys of parenthood.

An Empty House

Well I just had a meeting with my 3 year old's teacher. He will be starting on September 13th. I just can't believe it. What will I do with all this quiet time????? I am looking forward to it but I know I will be sad at the same time. I guess for the first time I will be able to clean my house without someone running behind me making a mess. That will be a very welcome thing. Why is it that kids do that? Do they not see you cleaning? Do they not understand? I get it when my 3 year old makes a mess. He is 3 but a 10 year old. I think they just like to see you busy. They don't ever want to see your butt hit the chair. That must be it. Well that is all for now. The kids are in school and I have no funny stories....yet. I am sure I will have one when they get home.

5 Kids????? Really.... Yep

Ok well as you can tell I have 5 kids and let me start off by saying, Yes I know what causes that, No I am not crazy, and Yes I am very busy. Ok now that I got that out of the way I can start my blog. I figured this would be a great way to vent about my day, share funny things the kids do, and in general just talk about my life. 5 kids can be a lot of fun but can stress you out at times. I mean come on they really outnumber you and if they all got together they could take over the house (not that my kids would ever be that organized).

Speaking of organization this week was the start of the new school year and we are off to a great start. My 7 year old forgot to bring his bookbag home on the first day of school. This is not a new thing with him either. He forgets everything. It is sad that I have to remind him to bring his winter coat home with him when it is 20 degrees outside. He did bring it home the second day and even remembered it on his own today so getting better.

Then there is the school bus. Now there is a big problem with the bus in this area. I don't know why but maybe it is because I live in a very small community and these kids are just around each other so much that they really start to hate each other. I don't know but ever year it is the same thing. Somebody hits somebody else on the bus, or somebody was calling somebody else names. Now back in my day this would not be a big deal. The parents would just call each other up and they would deal with the problem. Well not anymore. Now it is a major thing where the kids go to the office and there is a video and kids get kicked off the bus and everything. Now these are elementary kids. They are not having an all out fist fight. This is not a major as the school wants to make it out to be. Thank goodness my kids were not involved this time though I fear it won't be long until I get a phone call.
